Taking a bit of a break from writing today (hey, it’s Sunday and I feel lazy!) to share one of my favorite sites. I’m sure everyone’s already heard of this website before, but I’m sharing it anyway. In case you haven’t, Postsecret is an ongoing project created by Frank Warren in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website, or used for PostSecret’s books. Sitting down to read PostSecret has been a regular part of my Sunday for years now.
Every once in a while I find a secret that I could’ve written myself. Almost every week at least one secret makes me teary. Sometimes they make me laugh out loud. I’ve given my sisters all of the books (I think between the two of them they have all of them now). I love reading them – it never gets old. Secrets come in from all over the world. Finding a secret that evokes emotion just reminds you of how we are all connected in this human experience we call life.
