Ever heard of Postcrossing? If not, you can go to the Postcrossing website to learn more. The jist of it is that you send postcards to random strangers around the world and then other random strangers (not the ones you sent postcards to) send postcards to you.
I’ve only been Postcrossing for a month and I have received postcards from China, the Netherlands, Russa, Australia and Belarus to name a few. No matter where they are from or what they say, the postcards I receive in the mail always brighten my day. I love it! It’s just another one of those awesome things that reminds me that we are all connected.
Yesterday I received a postcard from the Netherlands with blue lotus flowers on the front (the picture here in this article is a picture of the actual postcard). As many of you know, I’ve recently begun doing spirit guide readings for people who are interested in getting some guidance on things going on in their lives (relationship issues, career, life events – anything, really). I’ve received positive feedback from most of the people I’ve done readings for, but a couple of people have been silent. One woman in particular I haven’t heard from popped into my head yesterday – I’ve been going on blind faith and hoping the reading resonated with her – but I haven’t heard from her. During the reading for her, I got a message from her guides in the form of a blue lotus.
The blue lotus, in Buddhist symbolism, is the symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, of intelligence and wisdom, of knowledge. You can learn more about it here: Blue Lotus History
Now, I realize receiving this post card may not be a signal that the reading was a good thing for the woman I did it for. However, I like to think it is, especially since this woman popped into my head yesterday apropos of nothing. Then the postcard came. The message on the back of the card confirmed it for me. The woman who wrote it told me the history of the blue lotus (very similar to what I shared with the woman I did the reading for) and then added, “Somehow I think this card fits you.”
Synchronicity and signs are everywhere – pointing us to the right people at the right time, providing us with answers to our questions (sometimes right after we’ve asked them) and opening up new doors for us all of the time. We just have to be open to them and ready to receive messages from spirit.
