Moths to a flame: inexplicable energetic pulls

Moths to a flame: inexplicable energetic pulls

The other day my blogging friend Kelli over at My Life Downstream posted this: “There are no accidents, If there is anyone you are supposed to meet, you will meet them and anyone you have met you were supposed to meet. ~Marianne Williamson”

Kelli’s right: there are no accidents. People come into our lives for a reason. Sometimes we know right away what someone’s purpose is in our lives. Sometimes those reasons aren’t evident until many months into our relationship. Sometimes we don’t know the reason until the relationship has ended. No matter when you discover what the lesson was, it is always there.

Have you ever felt an inexplicable attraction and pull towards someone (or something) you intuitively knew you wanted and needed to know?

It is as if we can see the light within these people and know they have something to offer us, something we need on a soul level. We feel the pull as their energy draws us in.

It’s akin to the K-Mart blue light specials and how when that blue light was turned on in the store, patrons knew it was “sale time”.  People would flock to that area in the store where the blue light was flashing. That’s kinda like what happens when you find yourself gravitating towards someone – you are attracted to their energy as if there was a a big, flashing light captivating you and calling you towards them.

Even when someone is “bad” for us, we can sometimes find ourselves going back to them – over and over again. We know in our brains that we shouldn’t, but something keeps pulling us back to them. But why?

So much of what and who we attract happens on an energetic level that many people are not consciously aware of. So much of our lives revolves around the individual & collective energies and vibrations buzzing through our world every second. So much of what happens in our lives is shaped by how we react to these (sometimes not so) subtle energies.

The next time you hear yourself say, “There is just something about him/her…”, you can know that what you are feeling and reacting to is probably that person’s energy field, attracting you and pulling you to share…maybe a lesson to be learned in love, a unique friendship, to teach you patience or maybe just for a few shared moments of happiness.

No matter the reason, every relationship we are in takes us into places within ourselves that need to be explored.

Take a look at the people who have had the most profound impact on your life.  What brought them to you and what have you learned? Are the key players in your life people you just felt in your bones you needed to know?

Hey Lindsay, thanks for the shout out, love this post. I am having that experience right now! Being drawn to someone for whatever reason, they are just everywhere and it is easy. Trying to stay in the moment and not fast-foward to what is gonna be, just allowing it to be what it is right now. xo-K

Having read this I believed it was really enlightening.
I appreciate you spending some time and effort
to put this content together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both
reading and posting comments. But so what, it
was still worthwhile!
