An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, despite the time, the place, and despite the circumstances. The thread can be tightened or tangle, but will never be broken. ~ Chinese Proverb
Call it a soul contract. Call it destiny, kismet, karma, fortune or fate. Call it whatever you want to call it. The more I live, the more I meet people in supposed “random” ways, the more I know: we meet the people we need to meet at the exact moments we’re meant to. And each and every one of them offers us a lesson. Some experiences are painful. Some are blissful. Most are intertwined with both.
If you’re feeling lonely or lost, take comfort. That person you need is out there. S/he can feel you somehow, too. But remember: that red thread won’t lead you to what’s on the other side if you’re stuck in your day-to-day routine or on your couch. Take a new route home from work. Go on vacation somewhere – by yourself. Go to the grocery store at an hour you normally wouldn’t. Sign up for that class you are just “thinking about”. Go geocaching. Visit an unfamiliar neighborhood. Join the gym. Take a yoga class. Just do something different. And you’ll see.

Doing intuitive relationship readings is one of my specialities – a relationship reading can provide you with insight as to they “why” you’ve met someone and can also point to past life karma you and another person share. Visit the relationship readings page for more information.

Intrigue! Now I want to know all about your trip
I love the imagery here…
Stay tuned for next week’s post about lessons learned in Sedona!
I can’t wait to hear about your trip to Sedona. Lots of detail please!
You bet, Laura! I wish I was still there! lol
Thank You! Just what I needed!
Glad it helped you, Emily! I see you’re in Phoenix (my stats thingy tells me so, I’m not a creep, promise!) – I was just there yesterday! Beautiful city.
Hey, neat site you have. Thanks for looking at mine, too. This concept is especially interesting.
Thanks, Kelly! Love how we ‘met’, too. Happy Postcrossing!
i signed up for a writing class last year just for the sake of curiosity and also to start being more serious in pursuing my interest. Our teacher is a newspaper columnist and i have been reading his column for more than ten years (since i was a student).
Very unexpectedly i became romantically attracted to him but we are 30 years apart and i suspect he is gay. The impossibility of us being together is evident but i still can’t really get over him.
Perhaps he is here to help me with my pursuit for writing. As for romance i just have to wait some more time : )
Hi Jane!
It’s interesting that this guy is someone who you’ve been reading for years and then met thanks to him teaching the class. Did you know he was the teacher prior to signing up? I’m guessing not…
You never know where the path will lead you two. Probably not romantically (the age and the gay thing are against you) but maybe he will be your inspiration for something or a good connection for you if you ever want to get any of your writing published!
*Gasp!* I’m on my couch! But funny, doing this, i.e. getting out there in the cloud is kind of new to me, so I think it counts. And you’re right — I’m meeting all kinds of wonderful people, some of whom have made a huge impact in my life.
I, too, want to hear about Sedona. The post about your flight is in my feed but not on your blog. Hmmm. But something tells me the best is yet to come.
Yes, getting out there “in the cloud” (love that) counts! I actually thought about that couch comment before I posted the article, because lord knows I’ve met plenty of really awesome people in our world while sitting on mine! lol
I’ll be posting about Sedona very soon! Thanks, Patti!
This is really lovely.
