Take a walk with me…a blog walk, that is

A few weeks ago I was reading my friend Patti’s blog – Lightspirited Being – and she took everyone on a blog walk. I thought that was a pretty nifty idea and totally decided to steal it. This gives me a chance to share other interesting blogs I enjoy with you! And, if I’m going to be honest, a chance to take an entire week off from writing an article!

For the first time ever, you can sit in your chair or on your couch and go for a walk! Here we go…

Stop #1: A Clear Sign: Does it Matter how Psychic Messages Come Through?

Excerpt:  “It Doesn’t Matter What Method You Use To Access Psychic Information, It Just Matters If You Receive Good Information”

A refresher of The Four Clairs and tips on trusting what you get

Stop #2: Danielle LaPorte: Manifesto of Encouragement

Excerpt: “Right now, Someone you haven’t met yet is already dreaming of adoring you.”

If this doesn’t give you a reason to feel grateful for something today, I don’t know what will.

Stop #3: The Healed Spirit: Little Hop-Toad and the Penny

Excerpt: “As anyone who’s dealt with me for any length of time is aware, I’m big on the idea of physical synchronicities as being some of the most useful guideposts for us.”

One of my favorite synchronicity stories of all-time.

Stop #4: Conduit of Joy: Undermine Perfectionism, Just Start – Babysteps, Part I

Excerpt: “The desk is tilting horribly, as it is missing pieces.  There are still toys clustered in the corner.  There are still empty boxes stacked to the side of the desk.  The white candle I’m burning is scraped and burns unevenly.  But the hardest part was finally accomplished.  I finally started.”

Really resonated with me – who among us hasn’t – at least once – come up with a bazillion excuses to get started?

Stop #5: Practically Intuitive: Mountains Move When You Get Clear

Excerpt: “Intention is key, as I always tell you. So is action. Put them both together doing something aligned with your path and BOOM! The Universe responds. And often in a way that we cannot plan or even foresee. But you know it when you see it.”

The Universe pushed Lisa off a metaphorical cliff and I couldn’t be happier for her!

I hope you enjoyed those articles as much as I did!

Hi Lindsay,

Stop #2 reminds me of my favourite quote:

Somewhere there’s someone who dreams of your smile,

and finds in your presence that life is worth while.

So when you are lonely, remember this be true:

Somebody, somewhere is thinking of you ~ Anonymous

Hi Lindsay,

I found your site through Stumbleupon and I am really enjoying it! So much of what you offer resonates with me. There’s a lot of “stuff” and beliefs out there. I really like your style. You are a wonderful woman.

A friend of mine who channels personal & universal guides started a blog back in 2007 and I’ve been following it since it started. It really resonates with me and perhaps it might for you. There is AMAZING wisdom there. Her name is Jane Kennard and her website is http://www.circleswithincircles.com.

I’m a budding intuitive reader, truly a beginner. I’ve just started doing readings and boy do I get butterflies! Do you get those also? I have found that trusting the information coming through was the big thing. I just had to get out of the way!

Thanks for all you do!

Kristine

Yay to StumbleUpon bringing like-minded souls together! I’m just checking out your friend’s page now – it really resonates with me, thank you for sharing it!

How do you get your practice in for doing intuitive readings for others? How’d you get started? I’d be really interested in hearing your story! Ever thought about having a blog of your own?

I hope you’ll stick around – I really like your insights!

Thanks for your reply!

I met Jane Kennard when I was 18 via my mother. She was doing what I would call “surface” readings. She would do them for free at her kitchen table. She held my necklace and started getting impressions of my life. She did not introduce guides back then but I was fascinated and it was then that I knew I wanted to do what she did. I asked her to show me how to do it. She gave me a piece of jewelry and I closed my eyes and waited. I saw images of people in her life. I was surprised at how easy it was to just allow the images to form and flow. It was very exciting to me then!

I introduced this to my good friend and we started playing around with it, giving readings to each other from time to time throughout the years. Now that I’m closing in on age 50 and my young children are getting older now (they are 7 & 9 – yes, late bloomer!) I have the maturity and the independence to take it on seriously and get paid for it.

Whoa, talk about nervous? You see, I’ve known Jane for all of these years and have seen her abilities evolve to the point of her leaving her body to allow each entity to use her vocal cords. It is quite something to experience. And this is my goal also. But, how can I get there if I don’t begin? So I had an expectation of starting at the top, which was causing me all sorts of anxiety. With this in mind, I began doing “surface” (although I can see their entities) readings last year, and to strangers nonetheless! OMG the anxiety! How would they give a beginner money??? They did go well actually, once I settled in that is, but eeesh! One thing for sure though, I ALWAYS feel amazing afterword.

I was getting great feedback and I thought I was a fraud. LOL

Then, I was asked to do a group of women and I was coming up with all kinds of excused to not do it. It’s snowing. I’m not feeling well. I’m too tired. Too busy. There’s an anvil in my stomach. Whatever. My entity plainly told me to just release all expectations and be that that you are. To tell them I am a beginner and this will release them of expectations as well. It was the Best. Night. Ever. And I was paid handsomely.

And so I had some business cards made up. Now, if I just had the space to continue in my own home, I would be golden. My dream is to leave my full time job and just do this! Trust factor, right?

What an excellent suggestion to start a blog! By golly I will! Well I have certainly taken up enough space here and thank you so much.

Might I ask how you got started??

Hey, thanks for the mention! :-)

Tho I beg to differ on the getting out of writing a post thing. Seems you’ve done a splendid job here! Love it! And now I know of a few more great blogs, altho considering this is the first I’ve seen this post because it’s the first I’ve had a chance to open my reader in weeks, I’m not sure that’s going to be helpful to me, lol.

Anyway, nice to check in. I like your newer post too.

Thank you!

LOL – I guess that post was a work all in and of itself, but I didn’t have to *think* too much! Thank you for all you do and the beautiful light you shine in this world! I always enjoy your blog!
