I’ve had an on again/off again relationship for many years with yoga. I fall in love and then fall back out. Lather, rinse, repeat. But now, thanks to myyogaonline.com, I am in love and plan on making this a long-term relationship.
Over a decade ago, my mom gifted me with a deck of Yoga cards (The Yoga Deck) and a brand spankin’ new yoga mat. I cycled through the poses on a daily basis, the cards getting worn around the edges. Gradually, I began to do just a few poses/day. Eventually, I stopped altogether.
When it comes to fitness, I’m as lazy as they come. If I have to actually walk, bike or somehow travel to the gym, I’m probably not going to do it. So when I find something I can do from the comforts of my own home, on my own schedule, I jump on it. My Yoga Online offers a great array of online yoga courses, they also have a Healthy Living Community where you can connect with other members. You can even create your own Yoga Wellness journal to track your progress.
The Cost: Unlimited access costs $9.95 per month, or $89.95 per year.
The Good: Yoga video courses – anytime, anywhere. Online healthy living community & tons of helpful articles for health, beauty, healthy recipes and personal development. You can ‘favorite’ videos for easy access on return visits. Varied classes, styles and instructors to suit anyone’s tastes and experience levels.
The not-so-good: The website is a weeee tiny bit crowded. Kinda like navigating a used book store without organization vs. a clean, organized big box bookstore. You’ve gotta do some digging, but there is enough there for everyone: beginner, novice, the yogi who wants to lose weight, the yoga expert and everything in between.
My two cents: A yoga practice takes just that: practice! My Yoga Online is a great way to keep up your daily practice, whether you have 5 minutes or 50. For the shy types like me, you don’t have to embarass yourself in a studio full of fit, sweaty people. You can get fit and be sweaty in your own living-room! I like that you can choose between a plethora of different classes for different purposes. Most of all, My Yoga Online has been helping me find my centre/my peace on a daily basis. And what’s not to love about that?
